About

About Your Therapist
Seeking therapy is a brave step. Although society is becoming increasingly accepting of mental health issues, taking that initial step can still seem overwhelming. What truly matters is finding a therapist with whom you feel comfortable, supported, and able to build a genuine connection.
Therapy centres on fostering positive transformation through choice. It provides a confidential, unbiased space to explore the difficulties you are facing in your personal or professional life. My purpose is to help you uncover new perspectives, build healthier habits, and reconnect with your inner resilience.

A relational and compassionate approach
I deeply believe in the power of the “school of life”—the idea that the challenges we face can become spaces for learning, growth, and healing. My aim is not to guide you toward perfection or impose a path on you, but to invite you to explore what may lie beyond what you currently know. Through a relational approach, I work collaboratively with each client as an individual, offering a safe, accepting space for exploration.

Edom Debebe
Integrative Therapist, MBACP (Accred)
My own journey of personal development led me into the world of counselling and psychotherapy. I see my role as a companion walking alongside clients as they explore unfamiliar emotional landscapes and uncover deeper meaning in their lives.
My core qualification training includes Person‑centred, Existential, Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic and CBT approaches, allowing me to tailor therapy to each individual. I also hold a Certificate in Online Counselling, certified by ACTO, and have over ten years of experience supporting adults and young people across respected organisations, including Westminster Mind, Saneline, Hestia, Off the Record, Ealing Abbey Counselling Service, and One in Four, as well as in my private practice.

My Therapeutic Focus
While my specialist interest lies in trauma and complex trauma, particularly supporting survivors of childhood abuse, I also work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement, life transitions, relationship difficulties, and identity concerns. Frequently Asked Questions
▶ How does therapy work?
Therapy is a process that helps you gain insight into your past and present experiences. It helps you understand who you are, how you became the person you are today, and what may be standing in the way of the life you want to live. Although it may feel uncomfortable or challenging at times, it can ultimately be transformative, helping you reconnect with your sense of self and step into greater emotional wellbeing.
▶ What happens in the first session?
The initial (first) session is an opportunity for us to explore what has brought you to therapy and for me to share how I work. If we mutually decide to proceed, we will agree on either an open‑ended or time‑limited structure.
▶ Are sessions confidential?
Yes, all therapy sessions are strictly confidential according to UK General Data Protection Regulations 2018 (UK GDPR) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Codes of Ethics. Except in the following circumstances: If you present as a danger to yourself or others, mandated reporting of abuse of children or elders, mandated reporting of any illegal activities and acts of terrorism.
▶ Do you offer reduced rates?
